Our Framing Technology

Our Framing Technology
Thousands of motor vehicles are damaged in traffic accidents across the nation every day. Although some of these vehicles are beyond repair, others can be made to look and drive like new mostly due to skilled frame repair and frame straightening. Automotive body repairers straighten bent bodies, remove dents, and replace crumpled parts that cannot be fixed. We use special equipment to restore damaged metal frames and body sections. Our framing specialists chain or clamp frames and sections to special alignment machines that use hydraulic pressure to align the damaged components. "Unibody" vehicles, designs built without frames, must be restored to precise factory specifications for the vehicle to operate correctly. To do so, our team uses benchmark systems to make accurate measurements of how much each section is out of alignment and hydraulic machinery to return the vehicle to its original shape.

At Havlick's we use two of the best framing systems available today; The Sonic 360 Framing Machine by Kansas Jack (also known as the "Shark" and the Cheif Continental Frame Machine. The new True-Point Sonic 360 uses cutting edge ultrasound technology to precisely measure the vehicle dimensions for the greatest accuracy possible. Emitter probes are attached to system-specific points on the vehicle and send out location signals which are then analyzed and displayed by the advanced computer system to help the framer straighten the frame back to it's factory specifications.

We use the Chief Continental Frame machine because Chief builds the worlds most advanced and productive collision repair equipment. Havlick's uses the Continental frame machine with the Chief UMS (universal measuring system), to ensure your car is fixed right. With the Chief Automotive System we have the capabilities to repair virtually any vehicle that comes into the shop - from small, unitized body vehicles to large, full-frame vehicles like trucks, vans and even the biggest sport utility vehicles. Chief equipment offers the most extensive line of pulling, measuring, anchoring and vehicle specification products in the industry, and Chief continues to aggressively develop and launch innovative products that enable shops like Havlick's to be more accurate and successful with new and emerging vehicle frame technology.
